Hope some of new TT'ers are up for this. Also hope you are doing well Les. We are OK here in windy Devon. There's been much to do, we're still settling in really. I'm continually having more and more ideas about LETS, and have…

Have your say in upcoming planning law changes

Your (only?) chance to influence planning policy.

Posted by: "Simon Fairlie" chapter7@tlio.org.uk

The Government is consulting on a new national planning framework for

England until 28th February. All the planning policy statements such

as PPS7 on the Countryside, and PPS1a on Climate Change are likely to

be replaced by one document The Government are allegedly looking to

reduce several hundred pages of guidance into ten or… Continue

Email to Gillian Nicks at Hackney council planning dept re proposal to build a hotel on the site of The Foundry bar

Dear Ms Nicks –

Once again I find myself having to write to express my concern about yet another worrying development in our beleaguered borough. The Foundry Bar is a contemporary classic and a much welcome haven from the rampant commercialism of downtown Shoreditch. The values and ethics that the management of the Foundry display are those that echo the ideas and attitudes of Hackney residents past and present, the very same which have made the borough such a popular destination for… Continue

Great meeting on transport last night

So last night's "meeting" - they are really talk events now - was by Carl Pittam of Sustrans. There are 2 pilots in Hackney of the "DIY Streets" project which gets residents to meet and talk about problems on… Continue

Site set up

Let's see how easy it is to use by inviting some people to test it...

Questions I have are: can we upload documents? Is anyone able to set up a group? If so how do we stop people going mad setting up hundreds of groups we haven't even agreed on yet?

We will see....

Hey Theo. Do you do much work on energy efficiency in the homes. We're starting to do up ours but would be interesting to hear what you have already done. Is Jamie Beevor in your group too? I met him recently through Carbon Conversations. Take care!
