It wil be for approx 12 people. Venue & exact time (prob 10.30 to 5.30)to be confirmed, but will be in Hackney.
Cost for day is £25 waged, £15 unaged.
If you want to & can definitely attend plesae let me know ASAP (and by Mon 15 March) - be helpful to have your email & phone no.

Many thanks, take care
Neil

PS Here are Anna's details about the training:

The Work that Reconnects

Are you concerned about the condition of our world?
Would you like to strengthen your ability to respond?

This workshop introduces The Work That Reconnects, an empowerment approach developed by Joanna Macy. Deepening our feeling of connection with life, we will open up spiritual and psychological resources needed to face and respond to global issues. Through experiential practices we will explore how to use the energy of our emotional responses, reconnect with our passion to act for life and transform concern for the world into creative engagement.

For more information about the Work that Reconnects, see Joanna Macy’s web-site http://www.joannamacy.net/theworkthatreconnects.html or read her book “Coming Back to Life”.

This workshop is particularly for those who have been involved with Transition Hackney, and will provide an opportunity to take stock of where TH has got to now and directions for the future.

It will be led by Anna McIvor and Bev Sedley. Times to be confirmed (usually 10:30-5:30, or 10-5 or 5:30 is better if you don’t think it’s too early). Please bring: a packed lunch/or vegetarian lunch to share, warm socks, a cushion if you like to sit on the floor, outdoor clothes and a beautiful object from nature to brighten up the room. Suggested contribution £25 (£15 concessions).

Anna McIvor has been facilitating the Work that Reconnects for the last two years. She finds this work incredibly powerful, bringing energy and motivation to take part in the healing of our world. She now spends much of her time working with Transition Cambridge on various projects, such as a story writing competition with stories set in a prosperous low-carbon future. She is a river ecologist by training and has taught ecology and climate change at university level. She is passionate about growing her own food and learning ways to live more sustainably. She loves singing, sacred dance, being in nature and camping.

Please note that there are strong emotional elements involved in the work; if you are feeling a bit wobbly at the moment, it is probably better to wait until you feel a bit stronger before taking part in a workshop.

Thanks Sally.

Planned date and time for the next meeting: Friday 9th April, 1.30-3.15 @ The Birdcage.
Who would be able to make that date? (Alison can't do Wednesdays anymore).

Hello everyone, I'm sorry I can't make today - I've had to come into work (I usually work from home on a Weds). But hope you all have another great meeting and I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Sal.
